John Gerard Delaney is an accordian player/songwriter based in Canada, and is the nephew of Canadian accordian legend Harry Hibbs. John's previous album was a tribute to Harry Hibbs, and on this new recording John continues to re-create beautiful representations of traditionals as well as original material. d9 was asked to rework the recording sonically. "...John recorded all the tracks for his new album himself over a broad span of time...and the songs seemed to be recorded on many different devices, including tape...not withstanding his amazing playing, to me, the charm of John's music lies in his voice, i wanted to accent this in these adjustments..." - d9 |
