Check out Rock and Roll Photagrapher and friend Bob Gruen's latest book 'Rock Seen'!...we're excited and honoured that Bob chose to include one of his photos of me for the book.
Moreover, the book is a testement to Bob's natural ability to capture the moment, and on Bob's last visit to Toronto we spoke about this. For me, i never felt more comfortable having a picture taken.
Also - check out a 'Rock 'n' Roll Exposed' / a four part doc on Bob's life and work; explored at length by filmaker Don Letts
(Nearly) recent interview with Jason Mundok of Wood Stove House in Lancaster, PA.

Douglas is back in Cape Breton, at his farm for the summer, where he is working on his next recording. He's planning on a 2012 release date. This work will include many of the samples that he has been collecting over the past while; stay tuned for more details. He promises his next album's theme will be something most everyone can relate to: "It's the one thing 99.99% of us have in common and we're all tied to". What does that mean Douglas? One never knows what he's up to but he's being extra devious on this one so stay tuned. He's gots some big giant crazzzy plans people!
But wait! There's more!
More you say? Really?
What could possibly be more than this?
It's you.
That's right, you.
Douglas wants to create something that comes in from all sides and is a product of bringing in sounds from anyone, everyone, everywhere and anywhere. In terms of what kind of samples to submit: Hey, even irritating customer service calls can make great samples. Cool, huh? So join the fun. Get creative. Submit yer sample here, or I've made it easy for ya, 'n you can submit it below. If you have any problems, just email us at mail (AT) douglasseptember DOT com 'n we'll help you out. Anything to get a sample :-)

....here is another track from the board TAPE made at a show in Portland, ME ('99...i think)
while on tour.
the track here is 'Profit Avenue' and is from the album 'Ten Bulls' (1998).
...performed by d9, Robby Aceto, Rich DePaolo and Gregg Williams.
recorded by Chrisitan Bobak.
* the recording is not from the Source DAT - it has been hacked apart from a copy of a tape that has been lyin at the bottom of a box, that was in a box, that was holding up a hose, under a stack of papers that were lyin next to a furnace.
you can also download the file (for free) here.
more a comin'-
